Benjamin Chadwell “Ben” or “Sonny”

BEN CHADWELL – Ben was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on the fourth of June. His hobby is collecting old coins, medals, and old war uniforms. It seems that he likes to “bake” in the Golden California sun. Likes ice cream sodas. Dislikes parsnips. His favorite song, “La Paloma”; favorite book is “Huckelberry Finn”. Social Studies is his favorite subject, and Blue is his favorite color.
From the Mar-Ken 1942 Yearbook, as a Junior:
The oil town of Tulsa, Okla. produced Benjamin Chadwell on June 4th. To be a director and a producer is his supreme ambition. His favorite pastime is reading, and he enjoyed “Days of Our Years” more than any other book. His favorite class is Music Appreciation and he is known around school as “Sonny”.
Ben was Vice-President of his 1942 Junior class.
From the October 13, 1942 Mar-Ken Journal:
•Ben Chadwell participated in the “Victory” Senior vs. Junior golf tournament and shot a 77.
•Ben was elected president of the Spanish Club.

Sunny, President of the Spanish Club, and may be leaving soon for Central America.
Ben was President of Los Vuenos Vecinos (the Spanish Club) in 1943.
