Ethel Dell (Del Vecchio)

Married name: Ethel Williams

Her given name is Ethel Evelyn Del Vecchio. She used the name Dell, as did her actor/singer brother, Gabriel Del Vecchio (Dell). She was married for 60 years to the legendary tap dancer Jack Williams.

Ethel was an actress and dancer. Her obituary praises her as a “friend and caretaker to generations of Hollywood’s elite and the jazz community across America.” It points out her standing on principle “and facing the issues of racial inequality or women in the workplace.”

Ethel Dell, comes to us from New York, also. She has done professional work, such as plays and commercial photography, etc. She likes to “jitterbug” (even though the fad is now almost dead), but she doesn’t like the minuet, but who does! (Well, at times I do!!!) Her ambition is to go back to New York, and become another Sarah Bernhardt or Gracie Allen.

Ethel graduated with a double major.
