Muriel Lawlor

The daughter of the Lawlor Professional School director, Viola F. Lawlor and her husband, Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Passenger and Freight Agent, John J. Lawlor, Muriel attended the school after her mother opened it as the Professional Children’s School in 1926. She was a musician, who was well known as Elaine Hammond, the Banjo Girl, according to historian Dr. Rockwell D. Hunt’s writing in 1930.
