Ann attended Lawlor Professional School in 1935.

Ann Miller was the stage name of Johnnie Lucille Collier. She was a childhood dance prodigy who performed in many movies during the 1940s and 1950s under contract with MGM, and later RKO. She remained active on Broadway and toured with Mickey Rooney when in their 60s. She was not only pretty and could act and sing, but she was a sensational dancer with a reputation of fast tapping (500 taps per minute).

Lucille Collier was in the drama class.
