Walter Moss attended Lawlor Professional School in 1935, per Louise Montgomery. She remembered him because he swallowed her grandmother’s ring. She believed that he went into the Army. Lousie’s sister, Diana Serra Cary, relates that Walter was a good dancer; he did ballroom and tap dancing. She recalls that he auditioned for a night job dancing at the BBB Cellar in Hollywood. He was a very innocent guy and did not know what kind of place this was — it was a gay bar with a mostly unclothed male chorus line. He was shocked, and of course, did not get the job.
