Jane Withers
Jane Withers was born in Atlanta, Georgia. She started her show business career before she was three years old, and was a successful child actress who continued through her teens and as an adult. She appeared in over fifty motion pictures and had many television roles. She is a writer, an avid doll and teddy bear collector and an entrepreneur.

From the November 8, 1940 Mar-Ken Journal:
HALLOWEEN PARTY: … Jitterbugging on the dance floor was Jane Withers, a former student, who came with Joe Brown Jr.
From the September 28, 1942 Mar-Ken Journal:
•Mar Ken Welcomes New Students: Jane Withers who has had a private tutor since she was here in the third grade.
•Jane Withers was elected Senior Class Secretary.
•ON THE SETS: Jane Withers is finishing a picture at Republic and will leave soon on a Bond selling tour.
From the October 13, 1942 Mar-Ken Journal:
•FASHION PREVIEWS: That was a snazzy snood that Jane Withers wore [at the Friday night dance, October 2nd].
•Many Mar-Ken students are on the road – Jane Withers left on a personal appearance tour Sunday nite, Oct. 4th.
From 1943 Mar-Ken Yearbook; Senior Crossword Puzzle:
She’s our Secretary and really rates with us because she’s such a grand sport.
Jane was Secretary of her senior class.
