Marion Bell

Marion Bell was born in St. Louis Missouri in 1919. She graduated from Lawlor Professional School in 1935. She was married to Alan Jay Lerner in 1947, and divorced in 1949. Marion was a light opera singer and actress. She charmed audiences as Fiona MacLaren in the original Broadway production of the Lerner and Loewe musical Brigadoon (1947) and performed in many venues, including the silver screen in A Night at the Opera (1935) and Ziegfeld Follies (1946). She died in Culver City, California on December 14, 1997 at the age of 78.
