Mickey Rooney

Mickey Rooney's given name is Joe Yule, Jr. He also used the stage names of Mickey McGuire and Mickey Rooney. He attended Lawlor Professional School and met Judy Garland there, giving their first performance to their classmates on October 21, 1933. Mickey Rooney was a star as a child actor and has continued his career throughout his adult life. He attended Lawlor Professional School and he tells about that experience in his autobiography, Life Is Too Short. Alumni of Lawlor and Mar-Ken should read his account of his school days. His colorful life has included eight marriages, some to equally well known starlets. He is an author, painter, golfer and pilot. His entertainment credits are legion.
