In the October 11, 1940 Mar-Ken Journals:
Miss Cornelia Steele, one of the new teachers of Mar-Ken has a B.A. degree from the University of Utah. She taught for two years in Utah where she was Supervisor of Primary Music in the Jordan School. For the past two years she has been teaching in the Nature School of Los Angeles. We are indeed happy to welcome Miss Steele as one of our new Primary grade teachers.
In the November 20, 1940 Mar-Ken Journal:
•FACULTY DURING VACATION: Miss Steele is going to the country for a few days of vacation.

She continued teach the lower grade class in 1941.
