What we do
WE GATHER AND CELEBRATE THE RICH HERITAGE OF WHAT BECAME KNOWN AS THE MAR-KEN SCHOOL. THE SCHOOL WAS ATTENDED BY MANY STUDENTS WORKING AS PROFESSIONAL ACTORS, MUSICIANS, SINGERS AND ATHLETES.

Mar-Ken.org maintains a searchable archive of the staff, faculty and students who attended the school in all its iterations. We strive to provide as much information as is available. Sometimes this is a simple record, and sometimes it is a treasure trove of collected memories. Our hope is this will prove a vital resource for alumni and friends of the school, as well as archivists and historians.

About us
A Site Run By, And For, Alumni
This site is run by, and for, alumni of a school that began as the Professional Children’s School (of Hollywood), changed its name to the Lawlor Professionals’ School and then became Mar-Ken School. These schools were all located in Hollywood, California. Mar-Ken later moved to Sherman Oaks, California, in the San Fernando Valley. Selecting from the menu at the top of this page brings you a detailed history of the schools; a directory of known alumni with information and photos for each, when available; similar information for the faculty and staff; yearbooks, photos, and other documentation ordered by class year; and a look at some reunions that have taken place over the years.
