Billy Cook

Born: 13 October 1928, Menlo Park, California
Died: 19 June 1981, Kennebunkport, Maine

Billy Cook made eleven movies as a child actor between 1938 and 1942. His most famous role was that of Tom Sawyer in Tom Sawyer, Detective, where he played opposite Donald O’Conner who played Huck Finn. As a adult Billy became an engineer, working with nuclear technology.

From the Mar-Ken 1940 Yearbook:
BILLY COOK – Was born in Palo Alto, California on November 26th. His hobby is radio and photography. For his pastime he likes to read good books. He likes good looking girls, but dislikes homework. Favorite book: “The Yearling”. Favorite song: “South Of The Border”. Spanish is his favorite subject.

Was President of his 1940 sophomore class.
